Dear Sir,

I would be very grateful for information about entry to your school. I am 17 years old and have been studying English for the past four years. My written English is fairly good, but my spoken English is very poor. Consequently, I would like to spend the summer in or around London.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully,

Dear Sir,

I am writing to know whether there would be a place at your school for my son Ramiro Gabriel in the months of January and February 2008. He is seventeen years old and has been studying English for four years in the government secondary schools here in Argentina.

He has always had good marks in English, but I am afraid his spoken English is far from fluent. I would like him to study both general and commercial English, as I wish to take him into business with me next year, when he will have finished his school studies.

I look forward to an early reply.

Yours faithfully,

Federico Moreno

APPLICATIONS FOR EXAMINATIONS

I wish to enter for the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language). Please kindly send me the necessary application forms.

I would appreciate if you could send me the regulations for the Cambridge CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English), as well as a set of past papers.
