TIM:

Don’t tell me you’ve started smoking again! I thought you had given up.

ROGER:

I was off for two years, but I took it up again in the summer. 

TIM:

So you’ll be coughing and wheezing again in the mornings, I suppose. 

ROGER:

Oddly enough, no, I’m not, despite the fact I’m smoking over a pack a day. 

TIM:

Give yourself another month or two and you’ll be retching your lungs out! 

ROGER:

I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it. In any case, I’ll be forced to cut down next month when the office goes non-smoking. 

TIM:

Lucky you! There are no restrictions in our office despite two petitions last year. 

ROGER:

I bet you led the petition! I wonder why former smokers are so anti smoking.

Dejar de fumar

TIM:

¡No me digas que empezaste a fumar nuevamente! Creí que habías dejado.

ROGER:

Estuve sin hacerlo durante dos años, pero lo retomé en el verano.

TIM:

ROGER:

Por extraño que parezca no lo estoy, a pesar de que estoy fumando más de un paquete por día.

TIM:

Espérate otro mes o dos y estarás expectorando.

ROGER:

Cambiaré de idea cuando tenga que hacerlo. De todos modos, me veré forzado a reducirlo el mes próximo cuando la oficina se declare no fumadora.

TIM:

¡Tienes suerte! En nuestra oficina no hay restricciones a pesar de dos pedidos el año pasado.

ROGER:

¡Apuesto a que tú presentaste la petición! Me pregunto por qué los ex-fumadores están tan en contra de fumar.
