Talking about bullfighting was interesting to me, but boxing and fox hunting can hardly be considered “arts”, even by you.

ALEX:

I agree. You’re right there, Jack.

JACK:

Defending boxing can’t be easy. Seeing people deliberately hurting each other in the name of sports seems barbaric to me.

ALEX:

No, it isn’t. Condemning something just because you can’t relate to it is becoming a bad habit with you.

JACK:

Look, Alex, let’s not get so personal. Explaining what you see in boxing is more to the point.

ALEX:

I guess it is. Watching two men use only their physical strength and skills provides a basic, elemental experience which purges our natural aggressive tendencies.

JACK:

I never thought about it like that.
