ALEX:

The killing of the bull is the thing that really turns me off about bullfighting.

JACK:

If they weren’t killed in bullfights, they’d be killed for other purposes, or never be bred at all, Jack.

ALEX:

Putting it like that makes me begin to see things in a different light, Alex. But seeing the death of the bull and the blood would be too much for me.

JACK:

Your feelings are valid for you. I just see it differently. Watching a bullfight makes me feel like I’m experiencing a dramatization of some of life’s greatest emotions.

ALEX:

Coming to a real conclusion to this argument is probably impossible, but you’ve made me see your point of view.

JACK:

I’ll settle for that.
