ADVANCED - ANSWERS DIALOGUE 2A

1.	Who stole the car and Barbara's silver?
	Two young men of the neighbourhood. A couple of young women coming from rich families.
2.	Why is it difficult to get both things back?
	Because the car was destroyed by fire. Because the silver was lost and the car damaged.
3.	How were both the car and the silver lost?
	When the thieves crashed on the road, the silver was destroyed. When the thieves crashed into a bridge, the car turned over and the silver fell into the river.
4.	Where are the two thieves now?
	Both thieves have been caught, so they are probably at the police-station. Both thieves are in a prison near the river now.

TRANSCRIPTION DIALOGUE 2A

TWO GOOD-FOR-NOTHINGS - Part 1

Harry:	Barbara!! They've been caught!!
Barbara:	No!! Wonderful!!
Harry:	Apparently, it was a couple of young thugs. Believe it or not, they both come from rich families. So the police said.
Visitor:	Well, I'm glad you'll recover your things.
Harry:	The only snag is that the silver's been lost.
Barbara:	How d'you mean?
Harry:	Apparently they crashed into the side of a bridge. The car turned over on its side and all the silver fell into the river. They doubt if it can be recovered.
Barbara:	Oh, no!!
Visitor:	I am sorry!!
Barbara:	Well, I can only hope that they get a stiff sentence.
Harry:	Young good-for-nothings!!
Barbara:	When they find themselves in prison for years and years they'll regret it!!
Harry:	They've wrecked my car too!!
