1. RAZÓN O MOTIVO -- con un verbo.

- They came here to visit me.
Vinieron a visitarme.

2. DISTANCIA.

- It is four blocks from my apartment to the Madison Institute.
Son cuatro cuadras desde mi apartamento al Instituto Madison.

3. COMPARACION.

- She prefers studying and working hard to wasting her time.
Ella prefiere estudiar y trabajar duro a perder su tiempo.

4. DESTINO.

- They are going to Argentina in July.
Ellos van a ir a Argentina en julio.

5. ENTREGA O REGALO.

- He gave a nice painting to his brother-in-law.
Él le entregó (regaló) una hermosa pintura a su cuñado.

6. HORAS.

- They finally arrived at a quarter to eleven.
