¿EXISTE UN SUBJUNTIVO EN INGLES?
En primer lugar comentaremos que, como regla general, en inglés el subjuntivo suele aparecer...

¿QUE SUCEDE EN INGLES AMERICANO?
Con respecto al subjuntivo, tiene más sentido decir que el inglés americano no tiene un subjuntivo especial o formal sino cláusulas subjuntivas en lugar de formas verbales subjuntivas. A decir verdad, la forma del verbo es simplemente su forma básica (o infinitivo sin "to").

Pero atención: En inglés americano el subjuntivo sólo resulta notorio es ciertas formas y tiempos. En los ejemplos que verás más abajo, el subjuntivo no es notorio cuando se utiliza el pronombre personal YOU, pero es muy evidente cuando se usan los pronombres HE o SHE.

Presta atención a la traducción de estos ejemplos:

USANDO "YOU"
Uso normal:
You try to study often.
Tú intentas estudiar con frecuencia.
Uso Subjuntivo:
It is important that you try to study often.
Es importante que tú intentes estudiar con frecuencia.

USANDO "HE/SHE"
Uso normal:
He/She tries to study often.
Él/Ella intenta estudiar con frecuencia.
Uso Subjuntivo:
It is important that he/she try to study often. 
Es importante que él/ella intente estudiar con frecuencia.

OTRAS VARIANTES DEL SUBJUNTIVO
EN FORMATO NEGATIVO [ NOT ]
They insisted that he/she not be at the meeting. (... que él/ella no estuviera)
They asked me not accept personal phone calls. (... que yo no aceptara)

EN FORMATO PASIVO [ "BE" ]
I insisted that something be done about the problem. (... que se hiciera)
The president proposed that the plans be changed. (... que se cambiaran)

EN FORMATO CONTINUO [ ING ]
I suggested going for a walk. (... que saliéramos a)
It is important that you be waiting when he arrives. (... que estés esperando)
