Put the verbs in brackets into the simple past.
 

1.  My husband (drive) fast as the highway was empty.

 

2.  Our dog Phil never (attack) strangers.

 

3.  We (cook) nice desserts at home yesterday.

 

4.  Ann's child always (obey) her during their vacation.

 

5.  Fernando and Silvia (go) to church last weekend.
