EXERCISE A

Make questions for which the following would be reasonable answers.
(a) Ask about the words in blue type.
Example: I saw Ann = Who did you see?
(b) Use nouns in brackets in the question.
Example: I saw her (Ann) today = When did you see Ann?
 

1.  It (the bridge) is built of special concrete.

2.  He broke it (his leg) during a risky landing.

3.   It (the new theatre) looks like a church.

 

4.  It (the concert) began at 9 pm.

 

5.  She went (to the party) with Michael.

6.  I'm looking for a public restroom.
