EXERCISE A

Make questions for which the following would be reasonable answers.
(a) Ask about the words in blue type.
Example: I saw Ann = Who did you see?
(b) Use nouns in brackets in the question.
Example: I saw her (Ann) today = When did you see Ann?
 

1.  It takes six hours to get there.

2.  They (the students) went to the art gallery yesterday.

3.   They (the neighbors) complained about the noise.

 

4.  The dogs ate them (the apples).

 

5.  He got in by climbing over the wall.

6.  She (Elvira) gave me fish and chips for lunch.
