horn = hunting horn (cuerno de caza): in this musical there is a fox hunting scene where a hunting
horn is blown.

corn husk: outer covering of corn (cáscara del maíz)
strummin' and plunkin' (used for metrical reasons) = strumming and plunking (sonando y vibrando)

You make us feel alive (Nos haces sentir vivos);
You make the South revive (Haces revivir el Sur).

mint julep: bourbon and sugar and mint over crushed ice (trago de cognac, azúcar y menta con hielo)
kick: sudden stimulation provided by strong drink (estímulo repentino de una bebida alcohólica)
to give someone a drive: to stimulate (estímular, darle a alguien un impulso)
