In the late sixties John Lennon married Japanese artist Yoko Ono and a brilliant musical production started. Lennon was a man of peace and for years he fought for it intensely. With Imagine he probably reached his best musical expression.

TWO DIFFERENT WAYS OF SAYING "CIELO" IN ENGLISH
 
1. Heaven (usually with capital letters) is the place where God lives, in some other realm.

2. sky (in small letters) is the literal space above us.

Hell =/= Heaven (Infierno =/= Cielo)
 
below =/= above (debajo de =/= encima de)

living for today = living on this day: not worrying about tomorrow (viviendo sin preocuparse por 

el mañana)

hard = difficult, not easy (complejo, difícil)

to die/to kill for someone/something = to die/to kill in order to save someone/something 

(morir, dar la vida por alguien o por algo, una causa, etc.)

in peace =/= in war (en paz =/= en guerra)

dreamer = idealist (idealista, soñador)

you'll join us = you will become a part of us (te unirás a nosotros, formarás parte de nuestro 

grupo)

possessions = properties (propiedades o pertenencias materiales)

I wonder = I would like to know (me pregunto, me gustaría saber)

greed = avarice: excessive desire to acquire or possess more (avaricia, codicia)

hunger: strong desire for something, not food or drink (ansiedad, desesperación por tener algo)

brotherhood: the feeling that men should treat one another like brothers (hermandad, fraternidad)

sharing: using or having in common (compartiendo)

Just when his career seemed refreshed and full of promise, Lennon was tragically murdered on December 8, 1980 in front of his home at the Dakota Building in New York City. John was more than a musician. He was an artist. A poet. A writer. A father. A husband. A visionary. A creative spirit. A sense of humor. A genuinely honest person who had nothing to hide. The writer of Imagine was all of these and more ... and his positive influence will always be remembered.

Exactamente cuando su carrera parecía renovada y prometedora, Lennon murió asesinado el 8 de Diciembre de 1980 frente a su hogar del Edificio Dakota en Nueva York. John fue más que un músico.
