Yes, really. And I've never tried ... um ... losin' an accent ... an' I think that'd be very hard to do.

What's your school doing about your accent? Do teachers try to correct you at all?

BOY:

No, not really. They think that it's a very good idea to have someone in the school who can talk like it.

MAN:

Are you going to try to lose your accent?

BOY:

No. Well, I've had it for thirteen years, so I don't see why I should.

Con respecto al orador del audio --nativo de Norfolk, al Este de Inglaterrra-- la diferencia más notable respecto del acento inglés estándar es que el sonido /ai/ suele pronunciarse /oí/. Observa:
