ACTIVITY 355: Read the text
below and look carefully at each line. Some of the lines are
correct, and some have a word which should not be there. If a
line is correct, type OK in the blank space on the left of
the number. If a line has a word which should not be there,
write that word in brackets. There are two examples at
the beginning (0 and 00).
A WONDERFUL INVENTION

Most
of people do not like getting up early, and some people

it impossible to wake up on time. For these people the

clock is a wonderful invention. But there are another

people
who have become so used to hearing the regular ringing

sounds
of their alarm clock that they continue to sleep

straight
through the noise. I am used to be one of those

people.
When I was going to the school I kept two alarm clocks

beside
my bed, but still my mother had to shake me hardly

before
I had woke up. Now I live by myself. I used to be

employed
by an advertising agency, but despite of help from

several
loud alarm clocks I was late for a work four times in

one
week and I was fired. Next week I will be start a new job.

I bound to lose this one, too? There should have be no problem

to my new silent alarm clock.
Instead of ringing, this

can shakes. I put it under my pillow and at the set time

vibrates. It makes my head to move and I wake up at once.

wish such a useful gadget had been thought of years ago!!
