DAVID: Hello, Paul. David here. Um, I need your advice
rather urgently. You know I'm leaving next week to start
work on the Mediterranean project? Er, well I intend to
begin in Spain and Morocco, but I want to cover all the
Mediterranean countries, so I'll be moving around a lot. Um
the problem is, I'll need to write up my report as I go; and
I'll also need to process figures, you know, compare data,
etc. As far as I can see, the only way I can do this is to
take a computer with me. So, what's your advice about
portable computers? Um please tell me what to buy. It has to
be light and easy to carry around, and I must be able to use
it anywhere. It should also be fairly simple to operate. You
know what I'm like with machines! Oh, yes, yes price. Oh, er
I know I must be prepared to pay a lot, but don't suggest
anything that's over £2,000, will you? Could you let me have
your ideas as soon as possible – I am in rather a hurry.
