READER: One day a professor of logic was in a small
town. He had some time to kill so he decided to get a
haircut. The town only had two barbers, each with his own
shop. The professor glanced into the first shop, which was
extremely untidy. He could see the barber needed a shave,
his clothes were dirty and his hair was badly cut. The
second shop, on the other hand, was extremely neat. The
barber was freshly shaved and spotlessly dressed, and his
hair neatly trimmed. The professor returned to the first
shop for his haircut. Now why did he go back to the first
shop? |
