This is a commercial from the French company Eurosport that broadcasts some sports television channels, |
|
It features a pregnant young woman
experiencing an ultrasound, also known
as a sonogram. Close to the woman, a smiling sonographer is moving a
transducer gently over her abdomen, which is covered with a special
jelly that conducts sound waves to create an image onto his computer
screen. |
|
Everything seems to go smoothly and the sonographer
keeps on grinning. |
|
Suddenly, something seems to worry him so he calls in
a professor. The professor comes into the ultrasound room, grins at the
woman, takes a seat and starts watching the monitor screen. Then, a
female nurse and a male nurse join the group, every one watching the
computer screen with very close attention. |
|
Showing obvious anxiety, the pregnant woman looks at
the sonographer who comforts her with his hand. Then again he frowns as
if he was watching something he doesn't like at all. His expression and
the stressful situation make the woman even restless, but this time it
is the professor who gives her emotional strength. |
|
They keep on watching and frowning when all of a
sudden the four professionals jump together with a scream of joy. The
commercial ends with the monitor screen displaying a football player
screaming a victorious goal and the sonographer addressing a big smile
to the woman. |
