The barbecue
El asado

  

 

Charles y Anne están preparando la lista de compras para un asado y necesitan varios elementos. Escucha con atención el diálogo y repítelo luego simultáneamente.

Charles:

What do we need for the barbecue?

¿Qué necesitamos para el asado?

Anne:

Well, we need hamburger meat and hot dogs.

Bueno, necesitamos carne de hamburguesa y salchichas.

Charles:

We have some hamburger
in the freezer, but we don't
have any hot dogs.

Tenemos algo de carne en el congelador pero no tenemos salchichas. 

Anne:

Right, and there aren't any buns.

De acuerdo, y no hay ningún
bollo (panecillo).

Charles:

Do we need any soda? 

¿Necesitamos gaseosas?

Anne:

Yes, we do. Let's buy some
soda and some lemonade,
too.

Sí. Compremos algunas gaseosas y limonada también.

Charles:

All right. And how about
some potato salad?

Muy bien. ¿Y qué te parece algo de ensalada de papas?

Anne:

Great idea !! Everyone likes potato salad.

¡Gran idea! A todos les gusta la ensalada de papas.

Charles:

Let's not forget dessert.

No nos olvidemos del postre.

Anne:

Yeah. How about some fruit? Maybe mangoes and strawberries.

Sí. ¿Qué te parece algo de fruta? Quizás mangos
y frutillas (fresas).

Charles:

Hm. I don't really like fruit.

Hmm. Realmente no me
gusta la fruta.

Anne:

I know. Your favorite dessert is apple pie. 

Lo sé. Tu postre favorito
es el pastel de manzana.

Charles:

Yes. Apple pie with ice cream !!

Sí. ¡Pastel de manzana
con helado!

Anne:

OK. So let's put apple pie and ice cream on the shopping list.

OK. Entonces anotemos pastel de manzana y helado en la lista de compras.
